Candy cane paper squishy: free printable template
A stripy red-and-white candy cane with a shiny highlight. Download the free A4 PDF, cut it out, fold, glue and stuff it with cotton wool to make a soft Christmas squishy in about 30 minutes.
Free, no sign-up, nothing is uploaded. Made for kids aged about 6 to 10 with a grown-up nearby for the scissors.

How to make it
- Print the template. Print the PDF on A4 paper at 100% scale (choose "actual size", not "fit to page"). Thicker paper works best.
- Cut it out. Cut out every piece. Where a piece has a grey rim of glue tabs, cut along the outer edge of the rim. Ask a grown-up to help younger children with the scissors.
- Fold the tabs. Fold along the dashed lines so the grey glue tabs stand up.
- Glue it together. Put glue on the grey tabs and stick the pieces together, one side at a time. Leave one side open.
- Stuff and close. Fill it with cotton wool until it is soft and squeezy, then glue the last side closed.
What you need
- A4 paper (thicker works best)
- Cotton wool for stuffing
- Glue or tape
- Scissors and a printer

Ideas to make it your own
- Keep the Cherry colour for the classic red-and-white look.
- Add a Star sticker as a sparkle.
- Try Mint for a mint-candy-cane twist.
The Makesquishy maker has Christmas shapes, stickers, patterns and faces. Open the candy cane in the maker and print your own version.
Make a matching paper doll
The Little Santa paper doll goes with this squishy: A little Santa girl in a red Santa dress with a black belt, a Santa hat and long silver hair. Print both for a Christmas set.

Yes. The PDF is free to download and print, and the online maker needs no sign-up, no account and no payment.
What size is it and how do I print it?

Can I change the colours and face of the candy cane?
Yes. Open the candy cane in the Makesquishy maker to change colour, pattern, face, stickers and name, then print your own version.
Is the candy cane squishy edible?
No. It is a soft paper toy stuffed with cotton wool, so please do not eat it.
What do I need to make it?
A printer, A4 paper, scissors, glue or tape and cotton wool for stuffing. Coloured pencils are optional if you want to add your own details.
