Mermaid paper doll: free printable Summer costume
A mermaid girl with long blue hair, a shell headband and a shimmering mint mermaid-tail dress. Download the free A4 PDF with the doll and her costume pieces, then cut them out and dress her up. It takes about 20 minutes.
Free, no sign-up, nothing is uploaded. Made for kids aged about 6 to 10 with a grown-up nearby for the scissors.
What is in the costume
- Mermaid-tail dress with shimmery scales
- Shell headband
- Long blue hair
- Barefoot mermaid look (no shoes)
How to make it
- Print the sheet. Print the PDF on A4 paper at 100% scale (choose "actual size", not "fit to page"). Thicker paper or light card makes a sturdier doll.
- Cut out the doll. Cut around the doll. Ask a grown-up to help younger children with the scissors.
- Cut out the clothes. Cut along the dashed line around each piece of clothing.
- Dress the doll. Lay each piece on the doll and fold it around. Mix and match with any other doll sheet.
Ideas to make it your own
- Change the dress to Lavender or Pink for another sea colour.
- Pick Pink hair for a bubblegum mermaid.
- Pair her with the ice cream squishy.
Open the mermaid in the paper doll maker to change her clothes, hair and colours, or make the matching ice cream squishy.
