Halloween bat paper squishy: free printable template
A tiny lavender bat with big spread wings. Download the free A4 PDF, cut it out, fold, glue and stuff it with cotton wool to make a soft Halloween squishy in about 30 minutes.
Free, no sign-up, nothing is uploaded. Made for kids aged about 6 to 10 with a grown-up nearby for the scissors.

How to make it
- Print the template. Print the PDF on A4 paper at 100% scale (choose "actual size", not "fit to page"). Thicker paper works best.
- Cut it out. Cut out every piece. Where a piece has a grey rim of glue tabs, cut along the outer edge of the rim. Ask a grown-up to help younger children with the scissors.
- Fold the tabs. Fold along the dashed lines so the grey glue tabs stand up.
- Glue it together. Put glue on the grey tabs and stick the pieces together, one side at a time. Leave one side open.
- Stuff and close. Fill it with cotton wool until it is soft and squeezy, then glue the last side closed.
What you need
- A4 paper (thicker works best)
- Cotton wool for stuffing
- Glue or tape
- Scissors and a printer

Ideas to make it your own
- Use the Fangs face for a cute vampire bat.
- Add a Spider or Moon sticker on the back.
- Hang it up: tape a loop of thread inside before you close it.
The Makesquishy maker has six Halloween shapes, nine Halloween stickers and spooky faces. Open the bat in the maker and print your own version.
Make a matching paper doll
The Little Vampire paper doll goes with this squishy: A little vampire in a black ball gown and a red cape with a high collar. Print both for a Halloween set.
Questions
Is the Halloween bat squishy template free?
Yes. The PDF is free to download and print, and the online maker needs no sign-up, no account and no payment.
What size is it and how do I print it?
Print on A4 paper at 100% scale ("actual size"). The finished squishy is about 6 cm wide. Thicker paper gives a sturdier squishy.
Can I change the colours and face of the bat?
Yes. Open the bat in the Makesquishy maker to change colour, pattern, face, stickers and name, then print your own version.
Do the bat wings need gluing on?
No. The wings are part of the bat-shaped template, so you cut, fold and glue it like the other squishies. Let the glue dry before you squeeze it.
What do I need to make it?
A printer, A4 paper, scissors, glue or tape and cotton wool for stuffing. Coloured pencils are optional if you want to add your own details.
