Easter chick paper squishy: free printable template
A tiny yellow chick with a little beak, wings and a happy face. Download the free A4 PDF, cut it out, fold, glue and stuff it with cotton wool to make a soft Easter squishy in about 30 minutes.
Free, no sign-up, nothing is uploaded. Made for kids aged about 6 to 10 with a grown-up nearby for the scissors.

How to make it
- Print the template. Print the PDF on A4 paper at 100% scale (choose "actual size", not "fit to page"). Thicker paper works best.
- Cut it out. Cut out every piece. Where a piece has a grey rim of glue tabs, cut along the outer edge of the rim. Ask a grown-up to help younger children with the scissors.
- Fold the tabs. Fold along the dashed lines so the grey glue tabs stand up.
- Glue it together. Put glue on the grey tabs and stick the pieces together, one side at a time. Leave one side open.
- Stuff and close. Fill it with cotton wool until it is soft and squeezy, then glue the last side closed.
What you need
- A4 paper (thicker works best)
- Cotton wool for stuffing
- Glue or tape
- Scissors and a printer

Ideas to make it your own
- Keep it Lemon yellow, or try Peach for a different chick.
- Add a Star or Flower sticker.
- Print the egg and the chick together as a hatching pair.
The Makesquishy maker has Easter shapes, stickers, patterns and faces. Open the Easter chick in the maker and print your own version.
Make a matching paper doll
The Chick girl paper doll goes with this squishy: A little chick girl in a sunshine yellow dress and an Easter bonnet decorated with flowers. Print both for a Easter set.
Questions
Is the Easter chick squishy template free?
Yes. The PDF is free to download and print, and the online maker needs no sign-up, no account and no payment.
What size is it and how do I print it?
Print on A4 paper at 100% scale ("actual size"). The finished squishy is about 6 cm wide. Thicker paper gives a sturdier squishy.
Can I change the colours and face of the Easter chick?
Yes. Open the Easter chick in the Makesquishy maker to change colour, pattern, face, stickers and name, then print your own version.
Does the chick beak need gluing on?
No. The beak and wings are part of the template, so there are no extra bits to attach.
What do I need to make it?
A printer, A4 paper, scissors, glue or tape and cotton wool for stuffing. Coloured pencils are optional if you want to add your own details.
